Thomas Stenger
Chairman

Thomas is currently a law Enforcement officer with the City of Fort Lauderdale with over 16 years of service.  Thomas has experience in maritime security, port security, underwater search and recovery, and event security. Thomas is a certified Terrorism Liaison Officer and holds several specialized law enforcement and FEMA certifications as well as a U.S.C.G Merchant Mariner Captains license.

Thomas is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy with over 17 years

of service.  During his military service he has had numerous deployments overseas, where he trained military personnel in law Enforcement, port and maritime security, and anti-terrorism. Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in Geography (specializing in Geographic Information Systems) and A Master’s degree from American Military University in Homeland Security. Thomas is also a certified Homeland Protection Professional with the National Sheriff Association, Global center for Public Safety.

 

Thomas has been a member of ASIS for many years, first as a student member and now as a full member. He has also held several board positions with ASIS chapter 104 and continues to work with his other board members on building the chapter.
